It was my first visit in Kuching on December 2013. The Sarawak River separates the two parts of Kuching City, which are North Kuching and South Kuching. One of the mode of transport available to cross between this two parts is by boat.
It was an unique experience for me in Bali. Some of the public or private temples are decorated with beautiful crafted door, shows their high sense of art in Balinese culture.

is an unique tree in my campus (Universiti Putra Malaysia, Bintulu
Campus) because of its autumn like
appearance after all of its leaves fall and new reddish leaves emerged. This scenery is uncommon in a tropical country like Malaysia.
Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque is located in the city-centre of Bandar Seri Begawan, which is one of the biggest mosque in Brunei Darussalam. Its main dome is covered with pure gold. The mosque was named after Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei who also initiated its construction, and the mosque serves as a symbol of the Islamic faith in Brunei.
Barong Dance, is a story telling dance in Balinese culture, which is something like the Chinese Lion Dance. Barong is the name of the lion like creature that fight against evil spirits.
Hanuman the monkey in 'kecak' dance show, a story adapted from the Ramayana Hindu epic. No music instrument is used in this show, instead of sounds made by the dancers.
Dandelion or its botanical name Taraxacum sp, is a flowering plant from the family Compositae. I named this photo (as suggested by a friend) 'Stages of Life', where you can see few different stages of the flower blooming. They are growing wild in Kundasang, Sabah.
Galinsoga species is a flowering plant in the family of Asteraceae or Compositae. This photo was taken in a vegetable farm in Kundasang, Sabah, where they are growing wild. I like the bokeh created in this photo.
Paddy field in Kedawang Village, near kuala muda road, Langkawi. This photo was taken during my visit in Langkawi in December 2013. This tiny island (480 km2) offer great tourist attractions such as hills, forest, waterfalls, beaches, island hopping, diving, snorkeling, bird watching, villages, duty tax free shopping, etc.
Turnera subulata is a flowering plant species of family Turneraceae known by the common names white buttercup, sulphur alder, politician's flower, dark-eyed turnera, and white alder. In Malaysia, this plant is introduced species (not native), usually planted along roadside of an oil palm estate to attract insect pollinators. It also a common flower used in landscape design. This photo was captured in August 2010, during a sampling trip in an oil plam estate in Sibu with collegue. I like the arrangement of the flowers.
One of my best collection, which I like the colour contrast and the shadow of leafless trees. It feel like our earth is dying as a consequences of our activities without caring about the nature and the environment. It actually a fallen leaf on tarmac from leaf changing trees after a rainy day, back in my beloved campus.
Maple trees are planted as ornamental tree in few places in Kundasang. It gives autumn like scenery when its leaves turned red. You can forget a person, but not the memories with the person.
An ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) also known as marguerite or moon daisy. This plant have medicinal value, and usually consumed as tea, extract or applied directly such as in healing external wounds. The photo was captured from a low angle, which was not a big deal with Nikon D5000's swivel LCD live view.
A female great mormon butterfly (Papilio memnon) at Poring Butterfly Farm, Ranau, Sabah. It was captured using 18-55 mm lens at close distance (approximately 20 cm). Took the opportunity for a shot while the butterfly statically collecting nectar.
Dairy cows of holstein breed grazing in the Desa Dairy Farm located in Kundasang, Ranau. The farm is located on high altitude gives cool temperature. This view is rare in Malaysia and one of the famous tourist attraction around Kundasang. The public usually referring this place as little New Zealand of Malaysia. This photo is one of my favourite photo and also recognized in few photography and instagram groups.
